There is no new updates available on iTunes at the moment. The next update will be available in February, there will be a notice on the website when its ready. To delete a file, from the file list view, swipe left to right on the file you want to delete, then tap the delete button. (agreed this needs to be better highlighted) With the next update there will be more messages and notifications for actions from the user. Again thanks for your comments.
