reviews

There are more reviews filtering through the App Store system, some good and some bad. I know you can’t please everyone…

Here’s a not so good 1 translated from German thats to Google Translate.

Google Translation

I had hoped for more from the free version. Free File Locker can be sealed only pictures not even the url or videos. The files are stored with the app only with the complete uninstallation of apps to delete it. Dafür gibts only one star.

And here are some good ones from users…

If you want a basic password-protected folder then this is your ap. Thnx. Wish there is an option to return the file to it’s original folder if u change ur mind. It would have garnered 5 stars if it is included in the files one can browse from when looking to attach a pic to an email or text. 5 stars

It works great, but there are two things I would like to see. One, the ability to delete files in the locker, and two, the ability to move pictures back into the camera roll. After that, I think it will be a great app. 4 stars

Comment:[ delete is operation just need to swipe on the file to delete and tap delete when the button appears, I think I need to show this some how]

I would like a landscape mode when viewing pictures and the ability to zoom in. Some pictures of mine have small text, or need to be zoomed to see what’s going on. Love the interface and everything else though. 4 stars

Thanks to all who have left reviews, I wish others would do the same. I am currently working on an update it will be out soon that will have some of the requests from the reviews.

Version 1.1 on the App Store

Filed Under (App Store, Updates) by FL Crew on 18-09-2009

Just been notified that File Locker 1.1 has been approved and will be on the store shortly.
This update adds and email this file options in the display view and a nicer detail view.
In my testing I did not loose any documents stored in the previous version, however I cannot confirm that this is the case for everyone.

I’ve had some nice responses, comments, and suggestion which i’ll be implimenting soon.

A few things that will be added shorthly are:

  • new file types to support movie files
  • in app text editor
  • other networking access to get and add files to the app

If you have suggestions please let me know. Get it here….

File Locker Free submitted for approval

Filed Under (App Store) by FL Crew on 18-09-2009

A version of File Locker has been changed slightly and is now awaiting approval for release. There are a number of differences between the free version and the paid version, these include an advertising banner at the top of the file list. For the in application advertising, we are using Mobclix as they offer a great variety of advertisers specifically for the mobile market.

There are also some minor functionality changes to differnciate free from paid, including removal of ‘Email this File’ and some file formats not supported. However if you would prefer to have all the functionality and no ads the full version is only .99c on the US store.
